What is the 8th UIC World Congress on High-Speed Rail?

This leading global event on high-speed rail serves as the platform for exchanging latest developments, experiences, and views on how this infrastructure is crucial as the world’s population grows and demands more efficient ways to get from place to place.

What does volunteering entail?

Volunteer opportunities for students include:

  • Working at the attendee registration desk
  • Assisting before, during, and after program sessions
  • Providing directions to session and event rooms
  • Assisting Congress leadership throughout the event to stay on schedule

Why should you volunteer?

It is UIC’s longstanding tradition to invite undergraduate and graduate students to be involved in helping put on the show, since all of the industry’s major players and decision makers are looking for the next generation to build, operate, and maintain the future of the high-speed rail network.

If you have any interest in high-speed rail, passenger transportation, international affairs, and more, there will be ample opportunities to meet future employers and leaders in the field…and attendance is free!

What benefits do volunteers receive?

  • Free conference registration including admission to program sessions during non-shift hours
